Chicago in Two Parts
PART ONE
The first part of my trip to the Windy City consisted of freezing cold weather (28-32 degrees!), boating along the river for an architecture tour, and exploring all the best spots along the Magnificent Mile. I fell in love all over again with the city life: tall skyscrapers, busy sidewalks, and tons of yummy restaurants at your fingertips. Even though I've been to Chicago before, I've learned that the city always has something new to offer. Plus there's something about running around the city that's so refreshing and exhilarating. It's safe to say that the first part of my trip was the perfect balance of relaxation and exploration! Can you guess who my next guest of honor was for Part Two? :)
PART TWO
The second half of my trip involved work AND play. It was awesome to work from the Google office in Chicago and be able to have fun with my second guest of honor, my MOM! This was the second time we've had a girls trip to Chicago, but we still went to all the touristy spots for fun. We shopped, ate multiple times at our new fave restaurant, The Protein Bar, and just hung out watching our favorite ABC shows together in the hotel room. The weather was MUCH warmer (it even hit the low 70's!) for the second part of this trip, so I really felt like I experienced two different Chicagos. Below are some random pics from the main spots!
