Girls Night (LA style)
My mom and I booked a one night trip to LA to see my sister this past Friday simply because we miss her! She has a lot going on with school, so we knew our trip had to be quick. Although it was short, it was really sweet. I loved seeing her in her new element. I got to see her campus, dorm, and dining halls - giving me a glimpse into her UCLA lifestyle. The trip made me nostalgic about my own college days in San Diego... but at the same time, I am glad that chapter of my life is over (AKA I don't miss studying 24/7)!
We arrived Friday night as my sister was getting out of class and met her at the Bruin bear. The campus really is so beautiful! She gave us a tour of her dorm before we had dinner at Bruin Plate - undoubtedly the best dining hall I've ever eaten at in my life!
Next, we walked to Westwood, stopping at Whole Foods to stock my sister up with some snacks for her dorm room. It was as if she had never seen a grocery store before - it was pretty cute seeing her light up at the thought of getting some non-dining hall food. When we got back to the hotel, we spent the night talking and watching The Office in bed together before passing out!
The next day, we hauled all the groceries back to my sister's dorm room before taking an uber to the Grove - it was so crowded! We grabbed lunch there and did some window shopping. It was the perfect way to relax and spend time together. We even tried waffle shots, which were small waffles filled with some espresso and gelato.
After dropping my sister back off at her dorm, it definitely felt like a piece of our trio was missing. Seeing her was the perfect start to my weekend. The countdown is ON until we see her again for Thanksgiving! Xoxo
