Younger Siblings + 10 Things

This post is dedicated to our younger siblings! A few weeks ago we had so much fun going to downtown San Jose for Luke's art show at the museum followed by dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. I never go downtown unless it's for Christmas in the Park, so it felt weird to explore it on one of the hottest days of summer. It was great seeing his art showcased in an exhibit, and we had a lot of laughs when we were exploring the art museum together after. The dinner was really special after because we were celebrating Luke's 13th birthday. It's pretty hard to believe that when I first met him, he was 9... and now he's a teenager! It's been so neat watching both of them grow up. That weekend, I also had a special sister date. We grabbed salads at our favorite salad place and caught up on all the things. I love spending time with all 3 of our younger siblings. Honestly, where would I be without all of them keeping us young and cool? :-P

I haven't done a random list of 10 things on my mind lately, so here we go (note, this one is going to be quick because we're about to watch an episode of Power):

1. Speaking of Power, I'm currently obsessed with a show called Power and am currently binge watching it. It is literally SO GOOD and I love the cast.

2. I'm super excited for our upcoming trip to Vegas. Pool, books, sleep, gym.... what more could I ask for?

3. Today is my 4-year Googleversary! I can't believe I've been at Google for the same amount of time I was in undergrad. I truly love my job and I couldn't be more grateful.

4. I'm secretly excited for the fall. I love summer so much, but after awhile I start wanting to wear boots and sweaters. What's wrong with me?!

5. I've been reminiscing a lot lately about when I traveled to Asia and Australia last year by myself for work. I think traveling alone is really good for the soul, and I want to do it again soon!

6. I recently read one of the best but most depressing books ever, called The Underground Railroad. It further inspired my desire to go to the deep South and visit plantations.

7. Last week I did a trail run super early in the morning at Quiksilver, and as I was running on the trail I saw some huge, black, mean-looking pigs (I think) in the middle of the trail. I was so scared that I actually turned around and ran back LOL. Would normal people actually continue running by the big scary pigs? I am still scared to go back there alone!

8. I'm really proud of my sister. She came home for the summer and has been working THREE jobs (at a law firm, Raging Waters, and dog-walking). She's definitely motivated to make money and set herself up for success and I couldn't be more proud of her.

9. Speaking of siblings, my brother is getting married in less than TWO months and I can't wait to be part of his big day!

10. I am still obsessed with Pressed Juicery vegan ice cream. I crave it every single day... in fact, I'm craving it right now. If you haven't tried it, you must!
