In Love With My Nephew

On Friday December 14th, my adorable, tiny, nephew was born at nearly 35 weeks! He was only 5lbs 14oz, 19.5 inches, and has a bit of dark brown hair and beautiful, chestnut-shaped dark grey/blue eyes. The vlog of his birthday is on my YouTube channel here. It’s safe to say he has stolen not only my heart, but my entire family’s heart too. He is truly a fighter, and I feel so grateful that both him and his mom are doing well after a tumultuous week of trying to have a natural labor. It’s so crazy that my brother is officially a DAD! Ahh!

My heart has been melting for the past 24 hours - I can’t believe that this little angel is now in our lives. My life will never be the same! I am absolutely obsessed with him and can’t wait to hold him in my arms, have him over for sleepovers, go on family trips with him, read him books, and just babysit him all the time.

We anxiously waited at Good Samaritan on Friday night, and Ron finally came out after the c-section procedure to tell us that all went well. Later, we got to see him in the NICU where he will be for at least a few weeks, potentially up to five weeks. Hearing his little cries and seeing him move his eyes around was sooo incredible. He is truly the best Christmas present I could have ever asked for and I love him so much. XOXO
