Random Weekend Fun
The past few weekends have been busy spending time with family and friends. We took our niece and nephew ice skating, hung out with the Pires’ on Superbowl Sunday, and I went to lunch with my friend from grad school. This is a bit of a random hodgepodge of photos but thought it would be nice to combine it all into one update. It has been extremely frigid here in the bay area lately but I honestly have kind of been enjoying it. There’s just something so cozy about wearing sweats and thick socks and cuddling up on the weekends. So far, this winter has been pretty magical. Xoxo
ICE SKATING WITH THE MUNCHKINS
We went ice skating with Mercy and Jesse and it was so fun. I loved seeing them not be afraid to let go of the side rail and actually skate! They are both getting so big. Mercy is about half my height and she’s only 5… pretty sure she will pass me up before she even hits 10! These two are so hilarious together so a good time was definitely had by all.
SUPERBOWL SUNDAY
On Superbowl Sunday we went to the Pires’ and made veggie rice rolls, played some video games, and just hung out with everyone. It was really relaxing and fun to catch up since we hadn’t seen them since before we went to South Africa. It was also Sophia’s 17th birthday (I still remember her 12th birthday… where did the time go?!?!?!)
Lunch with Lisa
My good friend from grad school is currently doing her PhD internship in Palo Alto so we met up for lunch and had a blast catching up. The last time we saw each other was in 2014 in Arizona (we visited our other friend there) so we had TONS to catch up on. Grad school felt like another lifetime, so it was really weird thinking back to those times. It was so wonderful seeing her (she hasn’t aged a bit)!
