Autumn in NY, CA & Massachusetts
SOLO TRIP TO NYC
I consider solo travel one of the greatest extravagances/luxuries in life. The ability to go somewhere by myself and spend 100% of my time exactly how I please is something that makes me so happy! Some call it selfish, I call it self care :-) I took myself to NYC. I hadn’t been there in 5+ years, so it felt good to be back. I landed and took the subway from the airport to my hotel in mid-town - it only cost $3 compared to the crazy Uber and taxi rates. I walked everywhere - Chelsea Market, Hudson River, Meatpacking District, 5th Ave, Lower East Side…. I even did my own makeshift Sex and the City tour, and visited Carrie’s brownstone, the Public Library and other hot spots from the show. I even toured some NYC apartments to get a feel of what it would be like to live there. I also went on a tour at the tenement museum to learn how European immigrants lived in the late 1800s. It was fascinating to see the living arrangements that small families lived in. I spoiled myself with delicious juices and acai bowls per usual, and read 2 amazing books cover to cover. I heart NY!
Mike & Bridget’s Wedding in Walpole, Massachusetts
We flew to Boston and then drove to the small town of Walpole to celebrate our friends’ wedding. We had an absolute blast and even lost our voices from letting it all out singing and dancing on the dance floor. I always love seeing our group of friends because the jokes are non-stop. Such a beautiful wedding and so many fun memories were made over the weekend!
Halloween Fun
We had fun celebrating Halloween this year by taking Mercy to the pumpkin patch so she could literally fly down the inflatable slides, and then of course seeing our little fire fighter all dressed up and ready to put out some fires!
Happy Hollow
I took Donovan to Happy Hollow for a little Auntie/Nephew date and we had so much fun together. We rode the carousel, he ate a big fruit cup, and he rode a little car ride. We also pet some animals and just walked around taking in the nature. He is getting so big and is literally the cutest little boy in the world!
Family Time
Lastly, I’ve been spending a lot of these autumn days going on lots of long walks with family. I love walking in the mornings and it’s even better when I can do it with someone I love! We also visited Sophia in Santa Cruz and hung out with Mercy and Kaia one morning during the football game. So much fun!
