East vs West Coast Adventures

Miami Beach

This was the first time either of us had been to Miami Beach, and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful, clear and warm it was there! We spent a full week there, trying to catch up on some reading, long walks, and Vitamin D dosage. We were obsessed with the smoothie bowls at Under the Mango Tree, and my favorite area was the art deco district in South Beach. Despite some random issues (like our hotel completely losing full power on our first night there…) it was a really fun trip and a nice change of scenery.

SEATTLE

Given we’re not able to travel to our dream places right now, we decided to do a mini weekend getaway to Seattle since it was a short flight and a walkable city. We had no rain at all, and even got some sunshine. We spent the full day walking everywhere, and my favorite part was visiting the Pike’s Place (of course), Starbucks Reserve (getting the massive crackers) and exploring Japantown (I was obsessed with Uwajimaya Market). The Japanese market really made me miss Asia and I truly can’t wait to be able to travel internationally again. It was a quick trip, but a very random, spontaneous weekend together!
