Mom's Retirement Party

My family and I had been planning a surprise retirement for my mom for months, and I have to say it was such a fun and exciting thing to plan and prepare for. From the cute decor, to the stunning cake, to the perfect venue, to the nicest guests, to the “Surprise!” mishap where my mom ended up surprising all of us from the back entrance, it was truly a day to remember. I’m so glad my mom was able to celebrate her career with all of her nearest and dearest friends. We had lunch, played a fun trivia game about her, heard some sweet speeches, and had some delicious mocha almond cake. I’m so proud of my mom for working hard for 35 years in education, accomplishing so much in her career, and setting an example for all three of us kids. She is my true superhero and I knew that a “Goodbye Tension, Hello Pension” party would be the sweetest ending and perfect way to celebrate the end of an era and the start of a new chapter!
