the Knicks Game
We went to the coveted Madison Square Garden to watch the Knicks and it was really entertaining. I loved being able to walk to the stadium easily, watch the game, and then continue the day after. It makes it so much less stressful when you don’t have to drive or worry about parking. We loved watching the game alongside Selena Gomez and a few other celebs in the crowd. Definitely a memorable experience and excited to catch another sporting event there again soon.
Sister saturDay
One beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon I met up with my sis at Union Square farmers market (one of my favorite spots in the city) to check out the holiday markets. From there, we did some shopping in SoHo before grabbing our favorite salads for lunch. From there, we walked to Washington Square Park to see where all the Gen Z and YouTubers hang out :) It was exactly the kind of wholesome, simple, relaxing activity that my soul needed (with my favorite person). I dreamt of days like this, so being able to actually do it felt weird but in the best way!
Thanksgiving & Christmas in the City
On Thanksgiving, we walked down West Side Highway to Battery Park to see Glass Onion (a fun murder mystery movie) followed by a long walk back to Anita’s to get our favorite gelato (despite being freezing). We also spent our holidays walking to the Bronx to see the famous Rao’s original restaurant (the closest we will ever get to a table there) and walking along the East River. However, our favorite night of all was going to the iconic Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village the night before Christmas Eve. I am not kidding when I say I was laughing the entire time! On Christmas day, we walked to a cute little theatre and film center to see a very unique dark comedy movie. It was very quirky and weird and exactly the kind of experience we wanted! After that we went home and ate delicious soup and veggies. The perfect holiday!
Ice Skating in central Park
I finally checked another item off my bucket list: ice skating in Central Park at the exact same ice rink where they filmed my favorite movie, Serendipity. We did it as a double date on a perfect chilly Saturday afternoon and the scenery, the company, the experience was everything. My sister was a natural on the ice (thanks to her hockey days as a kid) and we had fun skating around and catching up!
