Welcome to New York

I didn't even think twice when my mom asked me if I wanted to join her last-minute for her work trip to the Big Apple. To be clear, I will *never* be one to pass up a trip to NYC. If that city isn't one of the most fun, adventurous, and exciting places in the world, I don't know what is. I can't even BEGIN to express how much I LOVE NY. Read below for the daily recap of my trip!

DAY ONE

After landing in NY, we took the subway to our hotel, flung our bags on the floor, and raced to Union Square to eat at our favorite restaurant, Maoz, before jetting over to Times Square. We spontaneously bought tickets to see The King & I at Lincoln Center THAT VERY night. It was SUCH a good show (if not, we would have undoubtedly fallen asleep from the long day of traveling!) I had the music and the characters stuck in my head as I went to sleep that night...

DAY TWO

I discovered that our hotel was only a few blocks from Central Park, so I became obsessed with running there every single morning of the trip. Crisp air, green trees, and tons of runners everywhere -- my idea of heaven. After a great run, we had a blast on a Sex and the City Tour where we visited tons of locations where they filmed for the show. Biggest highlight: Visiting Carrie's brownstone! The tour guide was so enthusiastic and we had a great time (+ we got a great tour of the city).

DAY THREE

We were part of the live studio audience on the Meredith Vieira talk show on Monday morning. It was so cool to see how much work goes into the production of a live talk show. The famous guests that day were the Property Brothers from HGTV and Tony Goldwyn from Scandal (my mom was a little more excited than I was, to say the least). The audience that day was wild, and they had us playing games and competing in talent shows during commercial breaks to keep us engaged. It was entertaining hearing musicians sing, gymnasts walk on their hands, and seeing people dance. Later, we explored Chinatown, NYU, Little Eataly (amazing Gelato!), and did some shopping of course :)

DAY FOUR

On our last day, we both had to work. I worked from the INCREDIBLE NYC office. It was so great catching up with some of my amazing colleagues out there and exploring such a huge and insane office. I mean, get a load of that view! It was the perfect way to end our fabulous trip! It was a jam-packed trip full of so many hilarious moments with my mom that I'll cherish forever.
