2025 New Beginnings
This year has been quite a roller coaster — from starting a new job at a new company, moving from uptown to downtown, Derek graduating with his MBA from Columbia, planning my sister’s wedding, chocolate tastings, random family root discoveries in Ottawa, to all the in-betweens of life — it’s been a whirlwind to say the least. Now that summer of 2025 is ending, I thought it would be a good time to document this year so far and remember some of the highlights. It is a bit random and chaotic…... but that’s accurately reflective of what life feels like at the moment :)
Graduation & wedding fun with the MBA Crew
We celebrated Derek graduating with his MBA in May (such a fun and incredible moment!) and had fun with his MBA friends at one of their weddings in the Catskills!
Random activities
From bean to bar classes and tastings, to broadway shows (& Juliet, Great Gatsby, The Last five Years), to vision boarding, to family time, to my sister getting engaged — it’s been a year full of random, different and exciting activities.
New beginnings
A big theme for me this year has been starting anew. From a new job at a new company, to a new apartment in the city, I’m embracing the uncomfortable exctitement that comes with new beginnings.
Ottawa
I booked a random, quick getaway to Ottawa one weekend, and pleasantly stumbled on some fascinating family history while I was there! I got to see the place where my grandparents raised my mom when she was a baby on Goldburn Ave (while they went to university there in the early 60’s). It spurred a whole entire Zoom reunion between families!
