Samantha's Sweet 16

The past 24 hours have been filled with tons of sweet 16 birthday frenzy! I spent some extra time with my sister on the eve of her 16th birthday, and we decorated the house (in preparation for her party this weekend), did some "cupcake cone" baking (#pinterest)...and watched The Bachelor (that's a whole 'nother story). Tonight as we celebrated over dinner and dessert, I couldn't get over how fast time flies. I remember this day 16 years ago so clearly - which was probably one of the most memorable days of my life. I loved her the moment I saw her in that hospital crib! And now, I couldn't be more proud of the beautiful, smart, and kind person she has become. My boyfriend surprised her with flowers and a balloon, and I put together a surprise gift basket for her that she loved. I realized that her happiness is the root of my own. I couldn't be more grateful for this beauty! Happy Sweet 16 sister!
