Heavenly Granola
Well, I'm finally doing it - blogging about my favorite food in the world: GRANOLA! I whipped up a huge batch tonight for my family, and I thought I would share some pics from my mini granola photo shoot that I had afterwards. I would post the recipe that I use, but I eyeball the entire thing. Here is my best shot at the process I go through when I make the plain granola (the last point includes my favorite add-in ingredients). I'm pretty sure I could do this in my sleep, and after awhile you will feel that way too:
+ A few cups of old fashioned oats
+ A half cup of canola oil
+ Quite a bit of honey (almost a cup)
+ A tad bit of vanilla
+ And lastly, a few of my favorite add-in ingredients (optional): salt, brown sugar, coconut, chocolate chips, dried cranberries & sliced almonds
What I love the most about granola is that you can customize it and tailor it however you like. Sometimes I prefer it plain with some soy milk, other times I prefer it really chocolatey and crunchy. Whatever you add in, you really can't go wrong!
