Take Your Parents To Work Day

Never in a million years did I think I would take my mom to an official, legit, real-life "Take Your Parents To Work Day"...but I did. How cool is that?! It seems like just yesterday my mom was taking me into her work, and now the roles have been reversed. This also clearly means that I'm getting old... It was hands-down one of the best days ever. I got to spend all day with my mom (and Derek's mom and stepdad). The 5 of us walked all over campus enjoying each other's company and learning more about Google. Highlights include:

• Photo booth dress-up
• Letting our parents experience free meals, free beer, free giveaways...ok, free everything
• Inspiring and eye-opening talks about what Google's doing to change the world
• Hilarious dinner conversation :)
• Being literally the last car to leave the lot because we squeezed every last ounce out of our day

I've never felt more proud or more grateful: So proud to show my mom off to Google...and so proud to show Google off to my mom. So grateful for all of the sacrifice, love, and hard work my mom put into raising me...and so grateful to work at place that is single-handedly changing the world for the better. It was a day I will never, ever forget.
