Easter + 10 Things

Easter 2017

This year for Easter everyone went to Grandma Pires' house and it was so much fun. Last year I missed out on the Easter party because I was in Australia for work - so I was excited to be part of it this year. We had tons of Portuguese food (per usual), ran around the house playing hide and seek, did an Easter egg hunt (there were exactly 44 hidden and we found every single one!), and played lots of random little games. The house was full of all the cousins and uncles and brothers and sisters and nieces.... it really is one of my favorite places to be. So much love all under one roof!

10 Things

1. I am obsessed with this show called Terrace House on Netflix. It's a Japanese reality show about 3 girls and 3 guys who live in one house. But instead of American reality shows where they curse and have tons of drama, these people actually sit down and talk problems out like mature adults. It sounds mundane but it's so entertaining, I swear. I've picked up some Japanese while watching it too!

2. I discovered a hidden gem of a beach in SF called Baker Beach and it has the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge (and of naked people... part of it's a nude beach)! My sister and I went there yesterday and had fun taking photos (and trying to crop out naked people in the background). The beach is so clean and the views (of the bridge) are so stunning. I cannot wait to go back this summer!

3. I've finally perfected my healthy cookie recipe after many months of testing! It contains six ingredients: almond flour, cocoa powder, honey, almond milk, toasted almonds, and chocolate chips. Mix all together, form small balls, and bake for 10 minutes and you have the most delicious, healthiest, double chocolate chip cookie in the world (well, according to me at least) :-)

4.  I'm going to Orlando next week for a work conference and I'm pretty excited! I'm honestly most excited for the warm weather and to hang out with a lot of my coworkers/friends. I haven't been to Orlando for many, many years, so it'll be a nice change of pace.

5. There are 2 places that I can't stop thinking about that I really want to visit next: Dubai or South America. I am dying to see them in the next few years. Mark my words - I'm going to make it happen!

6. I am so excited to go wedding ring shopping in a few weeks. I know exactly what style I want and can't wait to see what it would actually look like on my hand. Shopping for wedding rings has to be the funnest thing in the world to shop for, am I right? :-)

7. I recently finished decorating our home office. I really loved going shopping for home decor stuff. It is therapeutic and just so fun to me. I love the end result - it is very cozy and classy and our new chase is one of my favorite places to curl up and read.

8. Last week I had the absolute worst luck with technology. Not only did I spill water on my laptop (which ruined my keyboard and mouse), I also accidentally permanently deleted my Personal Folder in my Drive full of all of my financial documents, passwords, pictures, random things I've written over the years, my scrapbooking business docs, etc. I literally teared up in front of the guy who was trying to fix it. It was horrible, and I'm still trying to accept the fact that I lost it all :-(

9. My friend Morgan and I are going to start our Saturday morning runs up again now that the weather is getting warmer. We always have so much fun running together and doing some yoga after so I totally cannot wait.

10. I've been practicing my headstands every morning after I work out, and I'm getting so much better at them! Practice really does make perfect. Headstands are one of my favorite yoga poses (they're actually really calming if you do them correctly). Now if I could just get the upper body strength to do a handstand.... :-)
