Portland for the Weekend

I took my mom with me on a fun weekend trip to Portland to visit my best friend Diana and her husband John. It was a quick one-nighter (flew in early Saturday and left Sunday afternoon) but packed full of the most random, hilarious adventures. We had just a few things planned, and ended up doing NONE of them! After landing in Portland, we had planned to go to Multnomah Falls, but when we were almost there, the road was closed! So instead we turned around and drove back to Diana's house and randomly decided to make a big pot of vegetarian chili for them. My mom is an expert cook so she basically made the chili for Diana and John so that they'd have it for the week. It was so random but really relaxing. We loved hanging out in their beautiful house with their amazing porch view too.

After that, we were so hungry (especially after smelling the chili) so we decided to go get lunch at Prasad, a delicious vegan place that I LOVE. We ordered so much yummy food. Next, we went to a neat bridge and walked across it and got some good pics! From there, we had planned to go to Salt and Straw but the line was around the corner, so instead we went to a small Asian dessert place, where we ordered some sort of bread loaf ice cream concoction. Again, so random but so fun!

It was such a special treat to spend the day in Portland with people I love so much. It was full of so many laughs and memories. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful BFF! Xoxo
