Visiting Diana + Kai in Portland

My sister and I spent last weekend in Portland visiting one of my best friends, Diana, and her 8 month old Kai (check out the VLOG). To say that Kai stole our hearts would be an understatement; his little face, long eyelashes, and charming smile were what did us in! I flew in early Saturday morning and went straight to their house, where my sister had stayed the night (she flew in Friday night from LA). From there, we embarked on our full day of Portlandia adventures, including Horsetail Falls, Multnomah Falls, Saturday Market, Powell’s Books, Pioneer Square… and of course some shopping and pedicures thrown in the mix too :) The day started out chilly but quickly turned into a sunny, warm afternoon. It was absolutely perfect. We had a delicious lunch consisting of vegan noodle soup, and for dinner my sister and I had some homemade soup and smoothies at a tiny local juice place. We stayed up very late (past 10pm lol) talking about EVERYTHING in life and it was exactly the kind of sister-bonding-getaway-trip that I imagined. I truly believe in surrounding myself with people who give me energy and are good for my soul. Diana, Kai, and my sister all fit into that bucket obvi.
