Samantha & Shay's Wedding
When I say that July 25, 2026, was one of the best days of my life, I am not exaggerating. For the last year, I poured my heart into planning the NYC wedding of my sister’s dreams (and Shay’s too, of course!). You could almost say it was my life's work! My goal was to create a day they would cherish forever—one that would always bring a huge smile to their faces. So when the moment finally arrived, I was equal parts thrilled and a low-key nervous wreck.
Thankfully, the day turned out beyond perfect and all that agonizing was for nothing. The weather we worried about for weeks was flawless—80 degrees and sunny. Our venue in the heart of Manhattan felt like a peaceful garden oasis floating above the city, and most importantly, Sam and Shay were glowing with love. They looked truly jaw-dropping together.
My favorite moment of the entire day was their vows. Their words were so sweet, sincere, and heartfelt—the best reminder that at the end of the day, finding someone who truly "gets you" is what matters most. After the ceremony, our 80 guests enjoyed amazing food, drinks, and desserts. I took on DJ duties (with my bestie Diana) and ran point as the wedding-day contact while Derek nailed his role as emcee. We brought our "A" game! The dance floor was alive all night with sweat, smiles, splits, and endless laughter—plus incredible breakdancing moves by Donovan (and Tristan)!
It was a privilege to plan my sister’s wedding. The fact that she and Shay trusted me with one of the most important days of their lives meant the world to me. It bonded us even closer (didn’t know it was possible), and honestly, there is no one else in the world I would have done this for. She was the absolute farthest thing from a "bridezilla," and I loved making every single decision together as a team—just as I envisioned we would ever since the day she was born (if you know me, you know that I’m not joking when I say that!).
I am so proud of my sister for following her heart, finding her true match, and always staying true to herself. I’ll be nostalgic about this day for the rest of my life. If we could go back in time and re-live it all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

The night before the wedding, we hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner for our immediate families at the iconic Buddakan, right in the heart of Chelsea. The food was absolutely incredible—the dishes just kept coming!—and the chic, dramatic ambiance made the entire evening feel like a scene straight out of a movie. My sister looked drop-dead gorgeous in her dress, and together, she and Shayok looked like a celebrity couple stepping out for a night in the city. It was the ultimate warm-up to the unforgettable day that followed!
