Samantha & Shay's Wedding Shower

Last weekend we had the most special wedding shower for Sam & Shay! My mom and I (and Chat GPT) planned the party for months. I’m so happy with how everything turned out. Most importantly, Sam & Shay felt special and loved — the main goal! It was so fun to see lots of our closest family and friends in one place — and extra special that it was in the house that the bride-to-be grew up in.

The day started off with a nice walk around the neighborhood before the girls got blowouts from DryBar. When the party finally started, it kicked off with a delicious lunch (catered Chinese food plus homemade salads that mom made by hand). The Chinese Tea Ceremony came next — which was a cute and creative nod to our Chinese roots! Then we played a fun “over or under” game about the couple, followed by a sweet speech my Matt plus dessert (the largest red velvet cake you’ll ever see and lots of cookies). The whole day went by really fast — but everyone had a great time. I loved seeing our vision come together — from the red lanterns, to the customized fortune cookies, to the beautiful dessert table — what a memorable event for our family. I’m so happy and excited for my beautiful sister and her fiance. Next stop: WEDDING DAY!!
